Every Liuli piece begins as a hand-carved wax sculpture, a mold that will be destroyed to make way for the molten crystal.

The Wax Sculpting
An artisan carves the original form in wax, capturing every delicate petal and curve.

The Ceramic Mold
The wax is encased in high-temperature plaster to create a negative impression.

The 1400° Firing
Colored crystal nuggets melt into the mold over 7 days of slow, precisely controlled heat.

The Unveiling
The mold is broken to reveal the glass inside. Each piece is hand-polished to a mirror finish.
